Voices from Around the World
Each bottle is unique, shaped by a year under the sea. You can smell the sea even before opening. The cork is wax-sealed and safe, with a rich, ocean-like scent. Soft bubbles, amber color, and a deep, smooth taste made the first sip unforgettable. It comes in a wooden box, perfect for gifting. A one-of-a-kind experience.
A refreshing rose that was buried under sea. Still fruity with a savory taste. Green apply, lemon, rose petal and cream. A nice experience. It’s fresh and a bit salty, a good match with mixed appetizers.
The packaging is a strong wooden box with a metal lock — it looks very elegant. Because the wine is aged under the sea, the bottle has things like seaweed and shells attached to it. Everything on the bottle was completely dry, with no smell or stickiness, so I felt relieved. The label is added after the sea aging, so it was clean and undamaged. The bottle looks very unique, so I think it’s perfect as a gift or for a party.
Extra-dry rosé from Goriška Brda — or better, from under it... The sugar is not too strong, the bubbles are fine. You can taste small red fruits.
When poured, it had bubbles like beer and a beautiful golden color. I could feel a mineral taste, like the sea. The smell was nutty. It was very tasty — unique, but really good. I enjoyed it with homemade hand-rolled sushi, one day after Setsubun.
A delightful rosé with a perfect balance of fruit and acidity, making it a quintessential summer sipper.
Citrus and stone fruits stand out, especially lemon peel, pear, and apple. Hints of yeast and rice malt add depth. The balance of sweetness and acidity is excellent, with a mineral finish. Great quality, enjoyable now with aging potential. It paired perfectly with lightly boiled squid, enhancing both sweetness and saltiness.
A unique sparkling wine aged first in oak barrels, then under the Adriatic Sea, where glacier waters meet the coast. The bottle often comes with natural sea elements like shells and oyster pieces, making it truly special. Delicate bubbles, low acidity, and balanced sweetness make it perfect as an aperitif or with various dishes. The wooden box adds a luxurious touch and is ideal for gifting. Highly recommended.
With food: refreshing aperitif, excellent with meat (marinated beef carpaccio, T-bone), fish dishes (marinated salmon fillet on fresh young lettuce with Mediterranean salt and herbs) and pasta (home- made fresh pasta spiced with fresh Adriatic scampi).

Why the sea?

The temperature at this depth of the sea is constant which makes it perfect for ageing wine.

Seashells attach to our bottles rendering each bottle into nature's one-of-a-kind artwork.

At a depth of 20 metres below the Sea there is a very minimal level of light. This is essential for aging wine, because the sun's UV rays can damage the molecules in the wine causing it to.

Minerals from the seawater seep through the cork and allow a small exchange with our wines which gives Mare Santo a higher mineral content compared to other sparkling wines.

The strong currents continuously move the bottles and keep the wine alive in the process. This in turn gives the liveliness of Mare Santo bubbles its refreshing taste and the higher content of bubbles leave a richer sparkle in the mouth.
